Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Job Description:
We are seeking a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality, compassionate Palliative Care to patients facing serious or life-limiting illnesses. This role spans both inpatient and outpatient settings, with an emphasis on symptom management, goals-of-care discussions, and end-of-life support. As a key member of the interdisciplinary care team, the ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, emotional intelligence, and a deep commitment to patient-centered care. Experience in acute, palliative, or hospice settings is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive palliative care consultations for patients with complex, chronic, or terminal conditions.
- Provide expert symptom management, including pain, nausea, dyspnea, and anxiety.
- Lead and facilitate goals-of-care and advance care planning conversations with patients and families.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and chaplains as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure continuity of care across settings.
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and Board Certification required.
- Experience in palliative care, hospice, or acute care is required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead sensitive conversations around prognosis, care preferences, and end-of-life decisions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
Minimum Requirements:
- Active Ohio State License – or willing to obtain – Required
- (New graduates are not eligible for this role.) Experience as an NP is required.
- Clean malpractice history and active, unrestricted licensure – Required
