ECHOCARDIOGRAPH TECH (Multiple Positions) – SIGN-ON BONUS!
LOCATION: Portland, Oregon
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
Performs cardiac ultrasound exams as directed by physicians using advanced ultrasound technology. Accurately identifies cardiac conditions through a comprehensive understanding of anatomy and physiology. Support and assist physicians during more advanced echocardiography procedures such as transesophageal studies, echo-guided procedures, pericardiocentesis, myocardial biopsies, contrast imaging, and pharmacological stress echocardiography. Adapts procedures as needed to accommodate unique clinical situations and ensure effective, cost-conscious diagnostic outcomes.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience.
- Associate’s degree: Applied Science, from a CAAHPE accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography, preferred.
- One year: Experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations, OR Minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available, preferred.
- Pediatric echocardiography experience, preferred.
- Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices), preferred.
- Experience with echo guided trans-catheter procedures. (St. Vincent Medical Center), preferred.
- Oregon Sonographer, upon hire.
- National Registered Cardiac Sonographer – Cardiovascular Credentialing International, upon hire, or
- National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer – Cardiovascular Credentialing International, upon hire, or
- National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, upon hire.
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association, upon hire.
