Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant – Outpatient Orthopedics (Full-Time)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient orthopedic team. The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality, evidence-based care that helps patients restore function, improve mobility, and manage pain. This role supports patient recovery following injury, surgery, or orthopedic conditions in a dynamic clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement components of patient treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
- Monitor patient performance and report progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Instruct patients and families on home exercise programs and safe movement practices.
- Assist in preparing treatment areas and equipment.
- Accurately document patient treatments and progress in compliance with regulatory and clinic standards.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to provide coordinated and effective care.
- Ensure patient safety and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- CPR certification (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers).
- Experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work collaboratively with the rehabilitation team.
