Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Cardiac Neuro
Schedule: Full-Time – Day or Night Shift (Rotating Weekends)
Location: Sanford, FL
Shift – Day and Night shifts
Position Overview:
Join a collaborative nursing team delivering high-quality care in a Medical Surgical / Cardiac Neuro unit. This fast-paced environment requires strong assessment skills, adaptability, and a commitment to patient-centered care. Nurses play a vital role in managing acute conditions, supporting stroke patients, and coordinating recovery.
You’ll work with a compassionate, skilled clinical team focused on patient outcomes, safety, and education. Whether you’re returning to acute care from rehab or currently in a med/surg environment, this role offers room to grow and make a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform focused and comprehensive assessments
- Monitor vital signs and intervene in critical situations
- Advocate for patient safety and quality care
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and recovery
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure timely, effective, and resource-conscious patient care
- Implement stroke protocols and manage cardiac/neuro patient needs
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of recent acute care RN experience preferred
- Will consider acute rehab RN experience if comfortable on a stroke unit
- Current RN license in Florida (or compact state license)
- Must obtain Florida license within 60 days if relocating
- ADN or Diploma required; BSN preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale (within 30 days of hire)
- BLS (within 30 days of hire)
- ACLS (within 6 months of hire)
