Position Title: Nurse Manager – Emergency Room (ER)
Shift: Full-Time | Days
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Department: Emergency Services
🩺 Position Summary:
The Nurse Manager of Emergency Services leads nursing operations within the Emergency Department and is responsible for fostering a supportive, efficient, and patient-centered environment. Working under the guidance of senior leadership, this position ensures high standards of care, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in emergency nursing practices.
📚 Minimum Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Licensure:
- Active Texas RN license (or temporary permit)
- Experience:
- At least 2 years of recent ER leadership experience
- Clinical practice in a related nursing area within the last 3 years
- Certifications:
- Current BLS, ACLS
- PALS or ENPC (required within one year of hire)
- Preferred: National certifications (CEN, CCRN, CNRN, etc.)
👥 Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily ER operations, including staffing, safety, and patient flow
- Mentor and develop ER nursing staff in alignment with best practices and organizational goals
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary leadership to meet performance, safety, and quality metrics
- Promote evidence-based nursing care and an autonomous nursing practice culture
- Maintain compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations
