Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT)
Shift: Day or Night
Weekend Hours: Rotating Weekends
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our healthcare team. The selected candidate will be the sole Respiratory Therapist on shift and will provide essential support for various clinical areas. Our Respiratory Therapists play a critical role in patient care, particularly in emergency and surgical settings. Required Qualifications
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – Healthcare Provider (HCP), American Heart Association (AHA) approved
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification or EKG & Pharmacology Course
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC): Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Virginia State License required
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Respiratory Therapy
- New Hires: Must obtain AHA certification prior to completion of orientation
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Ability to perform intubations (training provided on-site)
- Experience working in emergency, surgical, rehab, and cardiovascular care settings
Job Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care services in a variety of clinical settings,
- Serve as the backup for intubations (training will be provided)
- Operate and monitor respiratory equipment
- Administer respiratory treatments, medications, and diagnostic tests
- Educate patients and staff on respiratory care needs
- Respond to emergency situations
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $36.00 – $42.00 per hour, depending on experience
Work Schedule & Additional Information
- Shift: Day or Night, with every other weekend
