Nurse Manager, Labor & Delivery – Days (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

What You Will Do
This role assumes the leadership responsibility for Labor and Delivery, overseeing patient care, staff performance, and quality standards. The position requires adaptability to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours, while promoting collaborative practice and continuous improvement.

Department/Unit Summary
Our Labor and Delivery Unit provides comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology care, along with pediatrics, breast health, and educational programs for new and expecting mothers. The unit also features two HOPE Suite rooms designed for natural births, complete with a laboring tub, Bluetooth monitoring system, birthing balls, and a birthing swing.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of Alabama (or ability to obtain)
- BSN required or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 5 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage 24/7 coverage, staffing gaps, and complex situations
