Outpatient Ortho Physical Therapy Aide
POSITION TYPE: Physical Therapy Aide
SETTING: Outpatient Orthopedics
LOCATION: Thousand Oaks, CA; Full-Time
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the guidance and direction of a licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist to support patient care and clinic operations. You will play an important part in helping patients through their treatment journey by assisting with therapy programs, maintaining a safe environment, and ensuring accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with treatment program execution as directed by a therapist.
- Administer therapy modalities within scope of practice.
- Document accurate patient records and progress notes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and clinicians.
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic therapy principles and procedures.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment with appropriate supervision.
- Provide occasional front desk support as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- One year of related experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to accurately report symptoms and observations to the treating clinician.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong commitment to patient service and quality care.
- Basic math skills for administrative tasks.
- Professionalism in dress, attendance, and conduct.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to remain stationary about 50% of the time.
- Frequent movement around the clinic to assist patients and staff.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly required to assist patients with mobility and move equipment.
- Vision abilities to observe and inspect patients, equipment, and paperwork.
- Work involves direct interaction with patients, including those experiencing pain.
- Exposure to moderate noise, occasional chemicals, and radiation risk.
