Clinical Director – Hospice (RN)
LOCATION: Billings, MT
JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent
We are seeking a Clinical Director to lead our hospice clinical team and ensure patients and families receive compassionate, high-quality care. This leadership role combines strategic oversight with hands-on support for clinical staff, helping shape both the patient experience and organizational success. Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for clinical staff and services.
- Support and mentor Clinical Supervisors and nursing teams to deliver excellent patient care.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
- Oversee hiring, training, orientation, and professional development of clinical personnel.
- Monitor clinical records, patient census trends, and operational indicators to optimize quality and efficiency.
- Partner with leadership on budgeting, policy development, and strategic goals.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs.
- Serve as acting Executive Director when needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director/Administrator.
Qualifications
- Current RN license; Bachelor’s in Nursing required (Master’s preferred).
- At least 3 years of management experience in hospice or healthcare.
- Hospice experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of business management, healthcare regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Licensed driver with reliable, insured transportation.
