Physician – General Medicine – IM/FM

Position Description
You will be part of a team of skilled professionals to deliver exceptional care while ensuring the department operates smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership, including overseeing patient care, diagnosis, treatment plans, for APPs on site.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Participate in recruitment, training, and mentoring staff as needed.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting professional development and continuous improvement.
- Stay current with medical advancements, ensuring the department incorporates the latest evidence-based practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required.
- Board certification in FM/IM required.
- Active medical license to practice in Virginia.
- Active DEA Certification.
- Prefer 5 years of experience in FM/IM, not required.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, patients, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement.
- Spanish-speaking preference.
