RN Trauma Program Manager ( Relocation Offered)
Location: Garden City, KS
Schedule: Full-time | Day Shift M-F
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced RN Trauma Program Manager to provide leadership and oversight for our trauma service line. This role ensures optimal patient outcomes through effective program management, regulatory compliance, and collaborative practice. The Trauma Program Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the trauma program, including performance improvement, education, and program development, while supporting the mission and vision of the hospital.
This position serves as a liaison with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and the American College of Surgeons (ACS) to maintain trauma center designation and verification requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for trauma program operations.
- Ensure compliance with state and national trauma regulatory standards.
- Oversee trauma registry, data collection, and coding processes.
- Lead multidisciplinary performance improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and ancillary departments to advance trauma care.
- Develop and deliver trauma-related education and training for staff.
- Monitor program performance metrics to achieve quality, safety, and patient satisfaction goals.
- Participate in budget development and manage resources responsibly.
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of trauma program experience.
- 2+ years leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with trauma registry and coding preferred.
Education:
- BSN required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Active and unencumbered KS RN license or Compact RN license.
- BLS certification (AHA required).
- TNCC required upon hire or within 24 months.
- Membership in professional trauma-related organizations preferred (Society of Trauma Nurses, ENA, AACN, TCAA, ASTNA).
