About the Opportunity
Join a respected acute-care facility in the Sanford area known for its commitment to patient safety, advanced cardiac and neuro care, and clinical excellence. This 221-bed hospital and Level II Trauma Center provides a full spectrum of medical, surgical, and rehabilitative services to the Central Florida community.
The Cardiac Neuro Telemetry Unit is a 27-bed department caring for diverse patients including those recovering from cardiac events, neuro cases, post-CABG, chest-pain, and medical-telemetry populations. You’ll work alongside a supportive team dedicated to exceptional outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Promote patient education, wellness, and prevention strategies.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and compassionate care.
Qualifications
- Active RN license – Compact or Florida (required).
- 1+ year of recent acute-care Med-Surg / Telemetry experience (required). (NURSES WITH DIVERSE EXPERIENCE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE AS WELL)
- Nursing Diploma or ASN (required); BSN (preferred).
- BLS & ACLS certifications (American Heart Association required).
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification – obtainable within 30 days of hire.
- Candidates with compact licensure must apply for FL endorsement prior to start.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay Range: $30.75 – $38 per hour (Dependent on experience)
- Shift Differentials: $4.50 Nights | $1.50 Weekends
- Shifts: Days or Nights • Rotating Weekends
- Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000 (based on shift)
- Relocation Assistance: Available (case-by-case basis)
