Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Full Time)
Location: Beaumont, TX
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our healthcare team in Beaumont, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality nuclear medicine imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing exceptional patient care. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals while adhering to all radiation safety standards.
- Operate gamma cameras, PET/CT systems, and related imaging equipment.
- Evaluate imaging results for quality, clarity, and diagnostic accuracy.
- Maintain detailed patient records, imaging logs, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Educate and prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and addressing concerns.
- Ensure strict adherence to ALARA principles and all federal, state, and departmental safety regulations.
- Assist with equipment quality control, calibrations, and routine maintenance.
- Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff.
- Participate in continuing education and stay current with industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
- Current certification by NMTCB (CNMT) or ARRT (N).
- Current Texas Medical Board (TMB) licensure or eligibility.
- BLS certification (ACLS preferred depending on facility).
- Strong understanding of radiation physics, radiopharmaceutical handling, and imaging technology.
- Excellent communication, patient-care, and critical-thinking skills.
Work Schedule:
Full-time; M-F day shift
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift or assist patients as needed.
- Manual dexterity to operate imaging and computer equipment.
