Overview
We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide respiratory care during night shift hours in an acute-care hospital setting. This role supports patients across multiple care areas while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and clinical teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care.
Schedule
- Night Shift: 6:30 PM – 6:45 AM
- Full-time
- 12-hour shifts
- Rotating weekends depending on department need
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory treatments and airway management for patients of varying acuity
- Monitor and adjust ventilators and other advanced respiratory equipment
- Perform ABGs, interpret results, and communicate clinical findings
- Assess patients and contribute to individualized respiratory care plans
- Respond to rapid response and code situations
- Assist with emergency airway support
- Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies
- Ensure accurate EMR documentation
- Follow hospital and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Current state license or eligibility
- BLS required; ACLS preferred depending on unit
- Acute-care experience preferred (new grads considered depending on department)
