Manager, Emergency Services (RN)

Scope: Emergency Department only

Are you an experienced Emergency Department leader ready to take the next step in a high-acuity, fast-paced, patient-centered environment?
This Emergency Services Manager role offers the opportunity to lead a large, complex ED within a highly respected acute-care facility that includes multiple emergency departments, advanced trauma services, and strong physician and nursing collaboration.
As the Emergency Services Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in clinical excellence, staff engagement, patient safety, and operational performance, while partnering closely with senior nursing leadership to advance departmental and organizational goals.
🔑 What You’ll Do
- Provide hands-on leadership for daily operations of the Emergency Department
- Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care through staffing oversight, workflow optimization, and clinical accountability
- Lead, coach, and develop a large team of ED nurses and support staff
- Monitor quality indicators, patient throughput, and clinical outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Support a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement
🎯 Qualifications
- 3+ years of recent ED leadership experience (Manager strongly preferred; high-acuity Charge Nurse experience considered)
- Recent acute-care Emergency Department experience required
- BSN preferred (or actively pursuing with completion within 2 years of hire)
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- Required within 90 days of hire:
- ACLS
- TNCC
- NIH Stroke Scale
- ENPC or PALS
