Position: Pediatric Nurse Manager
Location: Abilene, TX
Shifts Available: Days
Status: Full Time
The Nurse Manager promotes and restores patient health by developing and executing both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic plans for the patient care area, while ensuring fiscal responsibility and fostering a collaborative, patient- and family-centered environment through the leadership and development of staff. - Strategic Planning: Developing and executing both daily operational plans and long-term strategic goals for patient care.
- Staff Leadership: Directing, developing, and mentoring nursing and professional staff.
- Fiscal Oversight: Managing the unit budget and demonstrating financial responsibility.
- Collaboration: Working closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to optimize care.
- Patient Advocacy: Guaranteeing a supportive environment that prioritizes patient and family-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (must be achieved or in progress with completion within 12 months).
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Current Texas RN license
- BLS
- PALS
Skills:
- Ability to research information and compose formal documentation.
- Proven written communication, editing, and professional correspondence (letters/memoranda).
- Experience coordinating meetings and compiling/analyzing reports.
- Strong computer skills.
