Position Summary
The Cardiac Sonographer II performs moderate-complexity cardiac ultrasound exams and procedures. This role requires independent clinical judgment, technical expertise, and the ability to identify and communicate abnormal findings accurately.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience
- Minimum of one year of cardiac ultrasound experience
Additional Skills
- Experience performing transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and/or stress echocardiograms
Licensure & Certifications
- ARDMS or CCI certification in Cardiac Sonography (required)
- BLS certification (required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
Education
- Graduate of an accredited School of Sonography, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in cardiac sonography (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sonography (preferred)
