Position: Radiology Diagnostic Technologist
Location: Richmond, VA
Shifts Available: Varied/Rotating
Status: Full Time
The practice of radiography is performed by radiologic technologists responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation to humans of all
ages (newborn to geriatric) for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. A radiographer performs radiographic procedures and related
techniques, producing images at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner.
Core Competencies
• Perform all the duties of a Diagnostic Technologist I.
Capable of safely administering contrast or other imaging agents including the identification of incompatibilities and/or
interactions.
•
Expected to assess a patient’s risk for allergic reaction to contrast media and other related medications prior to administration
and following appropriate protocols for escalation of concerns.
•
Expected to evaluate lab values prior to administering contrast media or other related medications and beginning the ordered
examination.
•
Capable of providing accurate explanations and instructions to the patient and family using age-appropriate language and
verifying that the patient understands and agrees to the completion of the ordered exam.
•
Capable of performing ordered exams or therapy in accordance with established imaging protocols while respecting the
patient’s ability and comfort.
•
• Capable of adhering to policies and utilizing protocols to determine that expected outcomes have been met.
• Capable of documenting deviations from protocol and/or patient-specific issues that may impact image quality.
Capable of notifying the appropriate health care provider when an immediate clinical response is necessary based on
procedural findings, patient condition, or other relevant concerns that may impact patient safety or care.

• Expected to timely complete all required post-processing, image display, and transfer for physician review.
• Expected demonstrates timely order closure, charge entry, and PACS QA completion.
• Expected to routinely cover open shifts as appropriate based on your level of competency.
Job Description
Knowledge and Competency
• Experienced and competent in routine and complex studies.
Complete understanding of technical standards, scope of practice, department and health system policies, and safety and
service standards.

Complete understanding of imaging equipment, image processing software, instrumentation, and ancillary patient care
equipment.
•
Education, Certification & Experience
The position requires certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT), BLS, and has successfully
completed their 6-month orientation.

Position: Invasive Cardiac Technologist, RCIS/RCES
Location: Richmond, VA

Status: Full Time
The Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist is a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiovascular
Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) and/or Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) who specializes in invasive cardiologic procedures
performed in either the Cardiac Cath or Electrophysiology Lab. They are required to perform on a team in the roles of a scrub tech and
monitor during invasive cardiologic procedures.
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Invasive Cardiology Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced patient care by performing invasive and noninvasive diagnostic procedures. The role involves assisting physicians during cardiac catheterization, interventional procedures, and electrophysiology studies. The ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of invasive cardiology techniques, equipment, and patient management.
