Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Occupational & Employee Health | Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Location: Abingdon, VA

This position allows a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to focus on occupational and employee health while building strong relationships with patients and employer partners. You’ll combine hands-on clinical care with prevention, wellness, and program development — all in a weekday-only schedule designed for long-term balance.

What You’ll Do
- Evaluate and treat occupational injuries and work-related illnesses
- Perform pre-employment, return-to-work, and fitness-for-duty physicals
- Conduct OSHA-regulated exams (DOT physicals, surveillance exams — training provided)
- Support and consult on workplace wellness initiatives and health hazards
- Prescribe medications, order diagnostic testing, and refer to specialists as appropriate
- Partner with employers to promote workforce safety, health, and prevention
Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Active Virginia license (or ability to obtain)
- Experience in occupational medicine, primary care, orthopedics, or emergency medicine preferred
- Strong communication skills with a proactive, relationship-focused approach
- Interest in blending clinical care with wellness and prevention programs
