Job Title: Dental Cad Cam Designer
Location: Chicago, IL
Salary: 35-45 per hour (DOE)

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD/CAM Dental Designer to join our growing lab team. This role focuses on the digital design of high-quality fixed restorations, specifically crowns and bridges, using the 3Shape. If you have a passion for dental anatomy, a “pixel-perfect” mindset, and a deep understanding of digital workflows, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Design: Execute precise designs for monolithic zirconia crowns, layered porcelain substructures, inlays/onlays, and multi-unit bridges.
- 3Shape Mastery: Utilize the full 3Shape Dental System suite to scan models/impressions and design restorations based on specific doctor preferences.
- Anatomic Excellence: Apply a strong understanding of dental morphology, occlusion, and marginal integrity to ensure minimal chairside adjustments.
- Workflow Management: Quality-check digital files before nesting and sending them to our milling units or 3D printers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the ceramics and finishing departments to ensure the digital design translates perfectly to the final physical restoration.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a dental lab setting, specifically focused on 3Shape CAD software.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in virtual articulators, margin marking, and anatomy morphing tools.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of dental materials (Zirconia, E.max, PMMA) and the specific design parameters required for each.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues in digital scans or bite registrations.
