Position Title: Laboratory Director
Shift: Day Shift
Job Summary and Qualifications
The Laboratory Director is responsible for the planning, coordination, and oversight of all laboratory services, including blood bank, chemistry, hematology, and microbiology. This role provides leadership, direction, and administrative management for the laboratory department, ensuring high-quality service delivery and regulatory compliance.
The Director communicates organizational expectations to staff, promotes a culture of accountability and excellence, and upholds the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct. This position supports and advances the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Required Qualifications
- Recent acute care laboratory leadership experience at the Manager or Supervisor level (required); experience overseeing a large FTE count is preferred
- Active state licensure as a Medical Technologist
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a chemical, physical, or biological science
- Current registration with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) (required)
