Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Hospice Aide
LOCATION: Rapid City, SD
JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent
Are you a compassionate caregiver who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families? We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Hospice Aide to provide personal care and comfort to patients in a home setting. This role focuses on dignity, respect, and supportive care during an important stage of life.
As a CNA, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse as part of an interdisciplinary care team. You will help patients remain comfortable while supporting families and caregivers with daily care needs.

Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, oral care, and dressing
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning
- Help with meals and feeding as needed
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nurse
- Assist with light housekeeping and laundry related to patient care
- Support patients and families with compassionate communication
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist with range of motion exercises as directed
- Provide comfort-focused care and companionship
- Document care provided according to guidelines
Qualifications
- Meets state training requirements for hospice aide or nursing assistant
- Minimum required classroom and practical training hours completed
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to follow instructions and document care accurately
- Comfortable providing care for individuals with serious illness
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Current auto insurance
- Ability to travel to patient homes
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional conduct
Work Environment
- Patient home settings
- Regular travel between patient visits
