Senior HR Business Partner

Status:Temporary Assignment | 16–18 Months | 100% On-Site

Location: Houston, TX

About the Role

Are you a strategic HR leader who thrives at the intersection of people, culture, and organizational performance? We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner for a high-impact 16–18 month assignment with a mission-driven healthcare organization. This is your opportunity to drive culture transformation, lead change initiatives, and partner with senior leadership to shape the human capital strategy across a complex, multi-entity system.

This role is 100% on-site and positions you as a trusted advisor and collaborative partner to the organization’s most senior leaders. If you are passionate about building high-performing teams and creating workplaces where people truly thrive, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

•         Serve as the primary strategic HR partner for at least two community hospitals, a large academic medical center, or a System Services organization

•         Lead and develop a team of HR professionals — overseeing hiring, coaching, performance management, and career growth

•         Drive organizational effectiveness through culture transformation, change management, and leadership development programs

•         Design and deliver training and interventions aligned with strategic talent priorities: retention, succession planning, engagement, and total rewards

•         Diagnose root causes of workforce and work environment challenges and build data-driven, stakeholder-aligned solutions

•         Participate in Monthly Operational Reviews and key facility leadership discussions to ensure alignment and execution of action plans

•         Provide input into HR strategy development and translate organizational goals into facility-level initiatives

•         Consult on organizational design, workforce planning, employee relations, compensation, and performance management

•         Proactively identify strategic gaps and propose consulting plans to address underlying causes

What We’re Looking For

Education

•         Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field — required

•         Master’s degree — strongly preferred

Certifications

•         PHR, SPHR, or equivalent HR professional certification — preferred

Experience

•         10+ years of progressive HR business partner or client management experience

•         5+ years of direct people management experience

•         Proven expertise in strategic talent planning, engagement, retention, change management, and leadership development

•         Experience in complex, matrixed organizations — healthcare background a strong plus

Core Competencies

•         Exceptional leadership, influence, and negotiation abilities

•         Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

•         Strong diagnostic and conceptual thinking — ability to identify root causes and build targeted solutions

•         Skilled in conflict resolution, group facilitation, and organizational dynamics

•         Strong business acumen with strategic and systems thinking capabilities

•         Demonstrated project management and execution abilities

Why This Opportunity?

•         Be a strategic force — not just a support function — within a complex, mission-driven organization

•         Lead meaningful change at scale across multiple facilities and service lines

•         Gain high-visibility experience partnering with C-suite and senior operations leaders

•         Develop and mentor an HR team during a critical period of organizational transformation

•         Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and seniority
