Registered Pharmacist – Night Shift
Acute Care Hospital | Full-Time | White Plains, NY Area
Schedule: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
3 nights one week / 4 nights the next week, including every other weekend and holidays
Compensation: $120,000 – $167,000 + $5,000 Sign-On Bonus
A respected acute care hospital is seeking a Registered Pharmacist to join its overnight pharmacy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed pharmacist who thrives in a fast-paced hospital setting and is passionate about medication safety, clinical collaboration, and delivering high-quality patient care.
Position Overview
Reporting to pharmacy leadership, the Registered Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical services that support safe and effective patient care across the hospital. This role partners closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to review medication orders, monitor therapy, and ensure compliance with hospital policies and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and safety
- Evaluate patient medication profiles and identify potential interactions or concerns
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff regarding medication therapy
- Support medication education, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance
- Participate in infection control, quality improvement, and risk management programs
- Provide oversight and direction to pharmacy support staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and workflow efficiency during overnight operations
- Uphold professional standards, strong customer service, and teamwork across departments
- Assist with additional pharmacy duties as needed
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD preferred
- Active New York Pharmacist license/registration required
- Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong pharmaceutical calculation and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to remain composed and accurate in a high-volume environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
