Job Summary and Qualifications
The Patient Safety Director leads and collaborates in the implementation of the hospital-based patient safety program with the goal of eliminating preventable patient harm while also establishing and sustaining a culture of safety.
Major Responsibilities:

- Partnership with Executive and Clinical Leaders

- Measurable Reeducation in Avoidable Harm
- Risk Management / Claims Activities (if not otherwise assigned)
What qualifications you will need:
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare related field
Preferred Education: Master’s Degree
Preferred Experience: Three to five years of healthcare experience in patient safety, risk, and/or quality (Healthcare experience should be recent and within a clinical setting such as Hospital, Ambulatory Surgery Center, etc.) Clinical background preferred.
Required License/Certification: (CPPS) Certified Professional in-Patient Safety. If not already a CCPS, it must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date and maintained while in the role.
Director will report to the Market VP
