Job Summary
A rapidly growing interventional pain medicine practice in the Boston area is seeking a full-time Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging services in support of Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners in an office-based setting. The ideal candidate will preferably have experience in Orthopaedics, Interventional Pain Management, and/or Personal Injury.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with physician orders, established protocols, and safety standards
- Prepare patients for x-ray procedures by explaining the process, positioning patients appropriately, and ensuring comfort and cooperation
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment, including x-ray systems and C-arm imaging equipment, as applicable
- Obtain high-quality images for physician review while following proper radiation safety practices and ALARA principles
- Verify patient identity, imaging orders, and relevant clinical information before performing procedures
- Assist providers during fluoroscopic or image-guided procedures as directed
- Document imaging procedures accurately in the electronic health record and imaging systems
- Maintain imaging logs, quality assurance records, and required equipment checks
- Ensure radiology areas, equipment, and accessories are cleaned, organized, and maintained in compliance with infection control and safety standards
- Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures
- Communicate with patients in a professional, courteous, and reassuring manner
- Coordinate with clinical staff regarding imaging needs, scheduling, follow-up, and patient flow
- Assist with related clinical or front office duties as needed during busy periods
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Radiology Technologist certification and/or licensure required, as applicable by state law
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- CPR Certification required
- Current ARRT certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of radiology procedures, anatomy, and radiation safety
- Working knowledge of medical office procedures, including HIPAA and OSHA compliance
- Experience operating medical imaging devices such as x-ray and C-arm equipment
- Proficiency with computer systems and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems; experience with eClinicalWorks preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with patients in a positive and professional manner
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain focus in a busy clinical environment
Physical Job Demands and Requirements
- Frequent standing throughout the workday while conducting imaging procedures, patient care, documentation, and cleaning
- Constant use of hands and fingers for positioning patients and operating equipment
- Visual acuity to accurately position patients and evaluate images
- Ability to hear and communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Frequently lifts, carries, pushes, or pulls up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and assisting with patient movement as needed
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $38.00 – $50.00 per hour
