Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
LOCATION: Helena, MT
JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent

What You Will Do
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work alongside licensed Physical Therapists to help patients progress through customized treatment plans and achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in carrying out individualized treatment programs developed by Physical Therapists.
- Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and exercise instruction.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to the care team.
- Document treatment sessions and patient responses accurately and efficiently.
- Educate patients on home exercises, wellness strategies, and injury prevention techniques.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive treatment environment.
- Collaborate with therapists and other team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Stay current with best practices and continue professional development.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program required
- Current or eligible PTA licensure
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport and motivate patients
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Prior outpatient Physical Therapy experience preferred but not required
Preferred Experience
Experience working with one or more of the following patient populations is helpful:
- Orthopedic rehabilitation
- Sports medicine
- Geriatrics
- Post-surgical recovery
- Functional movement and mobility programs
