Job Title: Senior Removables Technician (Dentures & Partials)

Position Summary
The Senior Removable Technician is an experienced dental laboratory professional specializing in removable prosthetics. This role is responsible for fabricating, altering, and repairing removable dental appliances based on clinician prescriptions, with an emphasis on complex case ownership, high-level esthetics, functional accuracy, and reducing remakes.
Key Responsibilities
Case Review, Planning, and Prescription Compliance
- Review prescriptions and all supporting materials, including photos, notes, bite records, and shade or mold selections, to ensure alignment with clinician preferences.
- Identify missing or unclear information and escalate appropriately before beginning production.
- Evaluate models, articulations, and bite registrations for accuracy and case readiness.
Advanced Removables Fabrication (Full Case Ownership)
- Select denture teeth according to clinician specifications and ensure esthetic alignment with provided references.
- Mark models for outlines, anatomical landmarks, and design requirements.
- Fabricate accurate base plates, record bases, and esthetic control bases as needed.
- Create bite rims that meet prescribed specifications and maintain record accuracy.
- Perform advanced denture setups for:
- Fully edentulous cases
- Partially edentulous cases, including those requiring framework considerations
- Complete waxing and contouring to support proper function, phonetics, and esthetics.
- Assist with processing and finishing to ensure high-quality fit, polish, and consistency.
- Perform repairs and modifications with clear documentation and feedback to prevent recurring issues.
Quality Control, Productivity, and Remake Reduction
- Maintain accountability for quality control throughout all stages of production to achieve accurate, first-time results.
- Troubleshoot complex cases and make informed decisions to minimize chairside adjustments.
- Identify trends or recurring issues and collaborate with leadership to improve processes and reduce remakes.
Leadership and Mentorship
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level technicians to improve technical skills and productivity.
- Contribute to training initiatives, standard operating procedures, and best practices within the department.
- Promote a collaborative, accountable, and quality-focused work environment.
