Vice President of Operations (Dental)
Location: Long Island, NY Region
Compensation: $150,000 – $220,000 Base Salary + Bonus Potential
We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across multiple dental practices. This executive-level role is responsible for driving operational excellence, optimizing performance, supporting practice growth, and ensuring exceptional patient care throughout a multi-site dental organization.
This position requires regular travel throughout the Long Island territory, with occasional travel for leadership and operational meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Partner with executive leadership to support long-term growth and scalability.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and operational performance.
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple dental practices.
- Implement and maintain operational standards, policies, and workflows.
- Monitor key performance metrics and utilize data-driven decision-making to improve outcomes.
- Support practice managers in achieving operational and financial objectives.
Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing operational leaders and practice teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support talent acquisition, retention, succession planning, and professional development initiatives.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable industry regulations and standards.
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Maintain health, safety, business continuity, and disaster recovery protocols.
Financial Performance
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify opportunities for growth and cost savings.
- Partner with revenue cycle and practice leadership teams to maximize revenue and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of multi-site dental operations or practice management experience, preferably within a DSO or large group practice environment.
- Strong understanding of dental practice operations, including scheduling, patient flow, billing, and insurance processes.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams across multiple locations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of dental industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
