Job Opportunity: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a premier behavioral health team in Fort Worth on a PRN basis. This role is ideal for an autonomous, patient-centered clinical professional who thrives in a dynamic psychiatric care environment and is committed to delivering excellence in clinical, operational, and administrative care.
Compensation: $75,000-$85,000
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessment & Care: Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized patient care plans within established timeframes, and accurately document all clinical findings.
- Shift Leadership: Oversee and supervise shift operations, demonstrating strong leadership by delegating essential tasks (e.g., group management, close observations, meal supervision).
- Patient Monitoring: Vigilantly monitor patients for changes in condition and respond proactively, including timely physician notifications.
- Medication Administration: Safely and accurately administer medications in strict accordance with established healthcare policies and protocols.
- Milieu Management: Ensure standard nursing policies and procedures are followed to consistently deliver high-quality, empathetic, and respectful patient care.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas (or compact equivalent).
- Certifications: Current CPR certification. De-escalation certification is required (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
- Preferred Experience: Prior experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health facility is highly preferred, including direct experience with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, acute psychiatric care, and geriatric psychiatric populations. Experience with treatment planning and communication with external review organizations is a plus.
