Physical Therapist – 40-Minute 1:1 Care | Outpatient Ortho & Sports Medicine
Just South of Worcester, MA | Full-Time
What would outpatient PT feel like if you had 40 minutes one-on-one with every patient — no double booking, no overlapping appointments, and no treatments handed off to aides?
An established, independent outpatient physical therapy practice just south of Worcester is growing and looking for a Physical Therapist who wants the time, autonomy, clinical resources, and experienced colleagues to practice well.
This isn’t about squeezing another patient into the schedule. It’s about building relationships with patients, following them throughout their course of care, and having the resources to help them get back to the level of function that matters to them.
The treatment model is straightforward:
- 40-minute, one-on-one appointments
- No double booking
- No overlapping patients
- No treatments handed off to aides
- Approximately 12 patients during an 8-hour treatment day
- Documentation incorporated into the patient visit
The patient population is primarily orthopedic and sports medicine, ranging from younger athletes through active older adults.
A Clinic Built for More Than Table-Based PT
If you like progressing patients beyond basic rehab, you’ll have room to do it.
The practice includes approximately 3,000 square feet of clinical space plus a 1,100-square-foot fully equipped gym, giving therapists the ability to move patients from rehabilitation into higher-level strength, conditioning, and performance work.
Resources include strength and cardio equipment, turf and sled work, blood-flow restriction training, dry needling, advanced laser treatment, balance and reaction equipment, compression recovery equipment, and access to aquatic therapy.
The goal isn’t to own equipment for the sake of owning equipment. It’s to give clinicians useful tools to meet the needs of their patients.

You won’t be joining a revolving door of clinicians.
The clinical team averages more than 16 years of experience, with therapists averaging nearly eight years with the practice.
New employees are paired with a mentor, with more frequent protected mentorship early in onboarding — often 2–3 times per week initially — to work through cases, treatment flow, clinical reasoning, and professional development.
For a newer PT, that means access to clinicians who have been practicing for years.
For an experienced PT, it means colleagues you can actually collaborate with.

Compensation
Base salary: $70,000–$104,000, based on experience and more (see below)
In addition to base salary, therapists can earn up to $9,600 annually through a utilization bonus — while maintaining the same 40-minute, one-on-one patient-care model.
- Achieve 73% appointment utilization → $400/month
- Achieve 83% appointment utilization → an additional $400/month ($800 total) – Most therapists meet this benchmark.
- Up to $9,600 in additional annual earnings
Utilization is based on completed visits relative to available appointment slots — not on increasing patient volume through double booking or overlapping care.
And one lower-utilization month doesn’t necessarily mean permanently losing that bonus opportunity. Utilization is reviewed cumulatively, with a year-end reconciliation that allows stronger periods to potentially offset lower-utilization periods during the year.
At the top of the range, that creates the potential for up to $113,600 in recurring annual cash compensation.

Schedule
There is flexibility within the schedule, including the possibility of four longer workdays for the right person.
The clinic operates early and late enough to accommodate different scheduling preferences, although full-time PTs should expect approximately two evenings per week.
Saturday hours are available but are not a routine requirement. Therapists may choose to use Saturday hours for schedule flexibility or additional utilization opportunities.
