Physical Therapist (PT) – Outpatient Orthopedics
Location: Galveston, TX
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Setting: Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (No weekends or nights)
Caseload: Sustainable 10 – 14 patients per day
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our outpatient orthopedic team in Galveston, Texas. Operating within a modern facility equipped with an on-site aquatic center, this role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The position offers a manageable daily caseload of 10 to 14 patients, allowing therapists ample time for individualized treatment plans across both land-based and aquatic rehabilitation environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluations & Care Plans: Perform comprehensive clinical evaluations, establish individualized plans of care, and track patient functional progression.
- Dual-Modality Care: Design and implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions utilizing both traditional land-based orthopedic treatments and on-site aquatic center facilities.
- Patient-Centered Treatment: Deliver personalized, 1-on-1 care to treat musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical cases, and chronic conditions at a sustainable pace.
- Multidisciplinary Coordination: Communicate effectively with physicians, clinic support staff, and patients to ensure seamless care delivery and optimal outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and progress notes in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred).
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of Texas (or eligibility for Texas licensure).
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required.
- Clinical Skills: Strong foundation in outpatient orthopedics; prior experience or interest in utilizing aquatic therapy modalities is a plus.
