Job Title: Front End Lab Manager

Salary: $85,000 – $100,000 / year (commensurate with experience)

We specialize in implant-supported restorations and full-mouth reconstructions, utilizing state-of-the-art technology like iCam photogrammetry alongside traditional techniques. As we continue to expand, our owner is seeking a dependable, polished professional to help bridge the gap between analog and digital workflows and drive our lab’s growth.
Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Front End Lab Manager to serve as the backbone of our administrative and clinical operations. This role is ideal for a former Dental Technician, Registered Dental Hygienist, or experienced Dental Assistant who wants to step off the bench or away from the chair while continuing to leverage their clinical expertise.
You will be the primary point of contact for elite prosthodontists and oral surgeons, assisting them over the phone during complex procedures, managing day-to-day administrative functions, and helping organize continuing education (CE) courses. We need a patient, bright, and highly organized professional whom the owner can confidently rely on to run operations seamlessly when away.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical & Doctor Support: Serve as the primary liaison for doctors, prosthodontists, and oral surgeons. Answer phone inquiries with outstanding etiquette, offering real-time knowledge and guidance during surgical or restorative procedures.
- Operations & Office Management: Handle light bookkeeping duties, including bill payments, vendor management, and basic financial tracking.
- CE Course Coordination: Assist the lab owner in organizing, setting up, and managing continuing education courses hosted by or associated with the lab.
- Lab Marketing & Growth: Collaborate on marketing initiatives to attract new clinical accounts and showcase our specialized implant capabilities.
- Digital & Analog Integration: Help bridge the gap between traditional dental lab processes and modern digital workflows (iCam photogrammetry, CAD/CAM).
- Leadership & Multitasking: Oversee front-end lab operations with full autonomy when the owner is attending or leading CE courses.
Qualifications & Skills
- Dental Background (Highly Preferred): Prior experience as a Dental Technician, Dental Hygienist, or experienced Clinical Assistant looking to transition into lab management. (Techs managed themselves it would just be the front but with no title really. Techs and owners all work very well together and has for years – 14 technicians)
- Implant Knowledge: Strong understanding of implant-supported restorations and surgical procedures (or a proven ability and eagerness to learn quickly).
- Communication & Demeanor: Exceptional phone etiquette; polished, articulate, professional, kind, and patient when dealing with high-profile clinicians.
- Administrative Savvy: Experience with basic bookkeeping, bill payment, office organization, and multi-line phone systems.
- Adaptability & Drive: High level of dependability, strong multitasking skills, and a genuine passion for dental technology and patient-centric outcomes.
