Laboratory Director
Day Shift
The Laboratory Director provides leadership and oversight for Laboratory and Phlebotomy operations, including blood bank, chemistry, hematology, and microbiology. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing department operations while leading a team of approximately 75 FTEs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction for Laboratory and Phlebotomy services
- Oversee approximately 75 FTEs
- Direct operations across blood bank, chemistry, hematology, and microbiology
- Manage departmental planning, coordination, quality, and daily operations
- Communicate organizational and departmental expectations to staff
- Provide leadership and administrative oversight across laboratory services
Requirements
- Recent acute-care laboratory leadership experience at the Manager or Supervisor level required
- Supervisory candidates should ideally have experience overseeing a larger FTE count
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a chemical, physical, or biological science
- State Medical Technologist license
- ASCP certification required
Compensation
- $47.10–$70.66/hour based on experience
- Approx. $97,968–$146,973 annually based on a 40-hour workweek
- Sign-on bonus considered case by case
- Relocation assistance considered case by case
