Dental Equipment Technician
Location: Waltham, MA
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $55,000–$80,000 annually

Position Summary
The Dental Equipment Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing dental equipment at customer locations. This position requires strong mechanical, electrical, and technical skills, along with excellent customer service and communication abilities.
The technician will work directly with customers and internal teams to ensure equipment is properly installed, operational, and maintained. The position requires accurate documentation, effective time management, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple service assignments.
Essential Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair dental equipment at customer locations.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service during all service visits.
- Maintain tools, equipment, parts, and supplies needed to complete service calls.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and properly manage replacement parts and supplies.
- Complete required technical and manufacturer training.
- Communicate regularly with dispatchers and team members regarding job status, delays, and completion.
- Complete service work orders accurately and promptly, including:
- Time spent on-site
- Work performed
- Parts used or replaced
- Additional parts or services required
- Review completed work with the customer or designated staff member before leaving the location.
- Submit and close all work orders and required documentation within established deadlines.
- Complete required service paperwork, expense reports, regulatory forms, and other documentation.
- Follow all applicable OSHA requirements and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain company-provided vehicles and comply with applicable vehicle and fleet policies.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
- Travel throughout the United States as needed to support equipment installations, repairs, and service activities.

Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment installation, repair, maintenance, or a related technical field.
- Experience providing customer service in a technical or field-service environment.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to use a laptop or mobile device for service documentation and communication.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple service assignments.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the United States approximately once per month.
- Ability to lift and move equipment and materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
Preferred
- Associate degree or technical school certification in a related field.
- Experience working with dental equipment or other medical equipment.
- Manufacturer-specific equipment training or certifications.
- Bilingual English/Korean communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and parts weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions while performing equipment installation and repairs.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Ability to work in customer facilities and adapt to different work environments.
- Ability to travel by vehicle and, when required, by air.
