Emergency Veterinarian
Cookeville, Tennessee
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join a busy veterinary practice. This is a great opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys emergency and urgent care, surgery, and having autonomy in case management while maintaining a predictable schedule.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate and treat emergency and urgent care patients
- Diagnose and develop treatment plans
- Perform routine and emergency surgical procedures as appropriate
- Communicate treatment recommendations with pet owners
- Work collaboratively with veterinary technicians and other doctors
- Maintain high standards of patient care and medical documentation
Schedule
- Full-time opportunity
- Flexible shifts (No overnight shifts)
- Consistent scheduling with flexibility based on practice needs
Qualifications
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree
- Veterinary license or eligibility for licensure
- Emergency, urgent care, or surgical experience preferred
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while being part of a team
