Nurse Manager, Emergency Department | West Houston, TX Days, Monday–Friday (flexible) | Permanent, full time.

The role
Reporting to the ER Director, the Nurse Manager is responsible for all functions of the Emergency Department, including: • Leading and coordinating day-to-day department operations • Serving as a resource for staff and supporting nursing education • Owning the overall quality of nursing care in the ED • Partnering with the Director and medical staff to assess and improve patient care quality • Making operational decisions in line with hospital, HR and nursing standards
Requirements • 2 years of recent (within the last year) acute care ER leadership experience.
ED Charge Nurse experience will be considered.
• BSN required • Active RN license
• BLS required • ACLS within 90 days of hire
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 60 days of hire
• ENPC, PALS and TNCC within 6 months of hire
