Registered Nurse – Mother Baby
Location: Beaumont, TX
Status: Full-Time
Shift: Day Shift or Night Shift – 3x12s
Overview
A leading faith-based acute-care hospital in Beaumont, TX is adding experienced Registered Nurses to its Mother Baby unit. In this role you will care for postpartum mothers and newborns, working independently with a strong grasp of the full clinical picture. You will provide both routine and complex care, plan toward long-range goals, manage changing situations on the unit, and delegate to other members of the care team.
What You’ll Do
• Provide family-centered nursing care using the full nursing process – assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation – in line with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice
• Care for postpartum mothers and newborns, addressing their physical, emotional, cultural, and social needs
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol and monitor for effectiveness and side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and educate mothers, families, and caregivers, connecting them with resources
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
What You Bring
• Active RN license in Texas or a compact multistate license
• BLS certification (required)
• NRP certification (required)
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• 1 year of Mother Baby or related nursing experience preferred
• Perinatal RN Residency or recent practice in a perinatal setting preferred
• BSN preferred
Onboarding & Development
• New Nurse Orientation within your first 30 days
• Precepted by a trained staff member, with organizational and Perinatal Services competency validation
• Annual competency verification
Schedule & Compensation
• Day Shift or Night Shift available
• 3×12-hour shifts
• $27.50 – $43.00 per hour, based on experience
