Registered Nurse – Pediatrics
Location: Beaumont, TX
Status: Full-Time
Shift: Day Shift and Night Shift available – 3x12s
Overview
A well-established acute-care hospital in Beaumont, TX is seeking a competent, independent Pediatric RN to join its Pediatric Services team. In this role you will deliver routine and complex nursing care to children and their families, plan toward long-range patient goals, manage changing clinical situations with confidence, and delegate appropriately to other members of the care team.
What You’ll Do
- Provide nursing care using the full nursing process – assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation – consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice
- Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of pediatric patients and their families
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol and monitor for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers while connecting them with resources
- Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers to keep the unit running smoothly
What You Bring
- Active RN license in Texas or a compact (multistate) license
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Current PALS or PEARS certification (required)
- 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty (preferred)
- Recent pediatric experience or completion of an RN residency (preferred)
- BSN (preferred)
Onboarding & Development
- New Nurse Orientation within your first 30 days
- One-on-one precepting by a trained staff member, with organizational and pediatric-specific competency validation
- Annual competency verification to keep your skills sharp
Schedule & Compensation
- Three 12-hour shifts per week – Day Shift and Night Shift openings
- Pay: $27.50 – $43.00 per hour, based on experience
