Registered Nurse – IMC Acute Telemetry
Location: Lake Charles, LA
Status: Full-Time
Shift: Day Shift or Night Shift – 3 x 12-hour shifts
A leading acute-care hospital in Lake Charles, LA is hiring experienced IMC Acute Telemetry Registered Nurses caring for adult patients on continuous cardiac monitoring. In this role you will practice independently, manage both routine and complex care, and work alongside a supportive interdisciplinary team. New hires receive a structured orientation and are precepted by a trained staff member.
What You’ll Do
- Practice independently while recognizing all relevant aspects of each patient situation
- Provide nursing care through the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol and monitor for effectiveness and side effects
- Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers
- Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers to help manage the clinical situation
What You Bring
- Active RN license in Louisiana or a compact (multistate) license
- BLS required
- 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time – 3 x 12-hour shifts
- Day shift and night shift positions available
- Pay range: $27.50 – $43.00 per hour
