Job Summary:

Looking for a passionate Director of Nursing - CVICU & Cardiac Stepdown to direct area operations, programs, and activities consistent with company objectives and in alignment with the strategic plan. The Director of Nursing promotes research and integrates evidence-based practice into clinical, operational and leadership processes. Clinical, human resource and financial data is integrated to support decision making. Responsible for the nursing practice model.


·         You will promote a multi-disciplinary coordination of services, such as, nursing, medical, respiratory care, laboratory, pharmaceutical and public relations.

·         You will develop, monitor, appraise and analyze budgetary goals and outcomes within the CVICU & Cardiac Stepdown Departments.

·         You will develop a plan for capital resources required to maintain quality care.

·         You will administer and appraise Quality Improvement within the services provided.

·         You will control processes related to Human Resources; inclusive of hiring, evaluating, terminating, counseling, coaching and development of the staff.

·         Develops, supervises, and administers adult, geriatric and adolescent services as necessary.

·         Current RN license within the State of practice.

·         BLS, ACLS certification required.

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required - Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.

·         National Nursing Leadership Certification is required within first year. 

·         Three (3) years of progressive leadership required. Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, Internet and Intranet software, e-mail.

·         Prefer candidates that have direct CVICU and/or CVOR experience.
