Up to $4,000 relocation reimbursements for out of state and up to $2000 for in state outside of a 50 mile radius from residence to hospital.  

Sign on bonuses: up to $10k paid over a 2-year period depending on experience. 

Job Description:

We are currently looking for an Clinical Decision Unit RN-CDU nurse to join our team of healthcare professionals to create a safe environment, efficient care, and the best experience for our patients. You will deliver and coordinate patient-centered care continuously to support the successful transition of patients to other healthcare delivery systems or their home communities. Likewise, you will work as a team member under the general direction of the charge nurse, performing a variety of nursing procedures with a patient-focused approach. 

Our Clinical Decision Unit strives to provide the utmost high-quality patient care to those emergency department patients needing further management to determine their need for inpatient admission. We will provide this in a setting that is both efficient for health care providers and pleasant for our patients. Hence, our ideal RD-CDU nurse candidate is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing, and provision of nursing care to patients following the established standards, administrative policies, and procedures set by our hospital and the state. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide basic and comprehensive patient-focused care, working collaboratively with patients, families, providers, and healthcare peers to ensure safe and quality care. This includes the display of flexibility in the approach to meet the needs of both patients and your peers.

• Prioritize patient care based on acuity level and available resources.

• Carry out physician orders.

• Assist physician during examination, treatment, and procedures.

• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean patient wounds, and monitor vital signs.

• Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, utilizing computerized documentation systems.

• Instruct and educate patients and their families.

• Assess and coordinate the patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of Acute Care experience as an RN in a clinical setting.

• Active RN license within the State of practice.

• Current certifications (variable depending on the facility).

• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients, and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
