Job Summary:


We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Manager to oversee the nursing operations for our Ambulatory Surgery Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality patient care and managing a team of registered nurses and support staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the nursing staff, including scheduling, assignments, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain standards of nursing practice and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in the budgeting and resource allocation process, ensuring that the department operates within its budget and resources.
  • Participate in recruitment, hiring, and training of new nursing staff.
  • Respond to patient complaints and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise in the field.

Requirements: 

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Five (5) plus years of experience in a leadership role in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and make sound decisions.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
