Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiographic examinations:
  • Use portable X-ray equipment to capture high-quality images of bones, soft tissues, and organs according to physician orders.
  • Position patients and operate the X-ray machine safely and efficiently, minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Process and evaluate X-ray images to ensure they meet diagnostic quality standards.
  • Patient care:
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during examinations, particularly those with limited mobility.
  • Maintain a sterile and professional work environment.
  • Equipment and supplies:
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot portable X-ray equipment.
  • Ensure proper inventory and functionality of all necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and regulations.
  • Documentation:
  • Accurately document patient information, examination details, and technical parameters.
  • Maintain electronic medical records and ensure confidentiality.



Qualifications:

  • State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Radiographer (R).
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in X-ray.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in portable X-ray or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong physical fitness to maneuver equipment and assist patients.
