Salary: $95,000 – $102,000

Relocation: Possible, to be discussed during interview

Licensure: State licensure reimbursement after 90 days of employment


Monday - Friday 9am-5pm (may vary) must be in San Leandro 2x a week


Position Overview

The Area Operations Manager oversees daily operations and supervises mobile Radiologic Technologists and/or Sonographers within an assigned region. This role ensures adherence to company policies, compliance with state regulations, and delivery of exceptional patient care. The manager will be responsible for staffing, scheduling, workflow efficiency, quality assurance, and departmental performance, while maintaining strong communication between management, staff, and radiologists.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement staffing schedules within assigned region.
  • Monitor performance and forecast service needs for staffing, equipment justification, and P&L management.
  • Directly supervise regional staff and oversee clinical operations.
  • Maintain open communication between management and technologists to ensure quality and timely patient care.
  • Conduct 90-day and annual staff evaluations.
  • Review image quality and ensure standards meet or exceed company expectations.
  • Order and manage regional equipment, supplies, and repairs.
  • Provide technical guidance and assist with problem resolution.
  • Address performance concerns through coaching and counseling.
  • Collaborate with dispatch to maintain patient flow and turnaround times.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies to meet company goals.
  • Perform X-rays/ultrasounds when necessary to maintain service levels.
  • Manage fleet scheduling and maintenance for reliability.
  • Oversee dosimetry reporting for radiology compliance.
  • Ensure clinical credentialing, training, and quality for all technologists.



Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the mobile imaging field.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Active and valid State Rad Tech/CRT license and ARRT, ARDMS, or CCI certification.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 50% within service area.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to patient care and safety, with knowledge of applicable health regulations.
