Job Description:

Behavioral Health nurses work as registered nurses to care for and support patients receiving treatment for mental health disorders in a school setting. Behavioral Health nurses evaluate the needs of their patients, and they administer treatments and engage in therapeutic interactions. 

We are looking for a passionate Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to join our elite team of healthcare professionals and make a difference, one patient at a time.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluating mental health needs of patients.
• Developing treatment plans.
• Providing personal care.
• Participate in de-escalation and crisis intervention.
• Coordinating with families, doctors, and other health professionals.
• Administering medications.
• Observing and recording patient behavior.
• Performing physical exams and diagnostic tests.
• Collecting patient health histories.
• Maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Educating patients about treatment plans.

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license within state of practice required. 
• Requires RN exp. with children and families, knowledge of residential and/or school treatment nursing.
• Experience working with children of diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• English required, bilingual preferred.
• Requires current valid driver's license
