LOCATION: Alamogordo, New Mexico

SHIFT: Days- 40 Hours

JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent

Summary:

A competent Registered Nurse in a similar clinical setting practices independently while maintaining awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. This role involves delivering both routine and complex care, with the ability to focus on long-term goals and care plans. The nurse continues to develop skills in managing clinical contingencies and demonstrates effective delegation and assignment of tasks to support optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates competency in professional roles such as self-leadership, team leadership, or leadership of others, as applicable.
• Provides nursing care in accordance with established professional standards, utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families within scope of practice.
• Administers medications and treatments following approved protocols; monitors patients for effectiveness and potential side effects.
• Accurately documents patient history, symptoms, treatments, and care provided.
• Assesses educational needs and delivers appropriate instruction to patients, families, and caregivers; identifies available resources and support.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)

Experience:

• At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty (preferred)

Licenses/Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment or compact license
