Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:40 PM (No nights or weekends)
Base Salary: $67,600 – $74,880 per year
Sign-On Bonus: $7,500 total in Year 1 (paid in $1,875 quarterly installments)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a private outpatient orthopedic practice built around high-quality patient care, efficient clinical systems, and a sustainable workday. Working directly alongside licensed Physical Therapists, the PTA will deliver evidence-based treatments and utilize modern clinical technologies to help patients achieve optimal functional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Treatment: Deliver high-quality physical therapy interventions and manual therapies under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Plan of Care Progression: Progress therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, functional, and mobility activities within each patient’s established plan of care.
- Advanced Modalities: Administer Class IV therapeutic laser and radial/focal shockwave therapies according to established clinical protocols and scope of practice.
- AI-Assisted Documentation: Utilize ambient AI-scribe software to support accurate, real-time EMR documentation during regular shift hours.
- Interprofessional Collaboration: Communicate patient responses, progress, and clinical changes clearly to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Patient & Caregiver Education: Instruct patients and family members on home exercise programs (HEPs), activity modifications, and injury prevention strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Licensure: Active (or eligible) Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the State of Arizona in good standing.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
- Experience: Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred; motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply (full modality training provided).
- Skills: Reliable, patient-centered, collaborative, and adaptable to modern digital documentation and clinical technologies.
