Operating Room Scrub Technician

SPECIALTY UNIT: Operating Room Scrub Technician

LOCATION: White Plains, NY Westchester County

SHIFT: Monday-Friday, 7a-5p - 4/10 hr shifts

JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent

Job Description:

Work in collaboration with the surgical team to provide care to the patient during a surgical/invasive procedure.  Assist with coordination or supplies, instrumentation and equipment for the surgical procedure.  Performs scrub duties for various surgical procedures/specialties following established department/hospital policies and procedures.  Must be able to take call in compliance with hospital/department policy. Follows policies and procedures of West Florida Hospital. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to WFH standards of behavior.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively uses laboratory equipment.
• Performs and reports testing on patient specimens and OC specimens rapidly and without delay.
• Demonstrates competence in performing testing procedures.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of OR tech experience.
• Looking for Surgical Techs with experience in all services.
• Strong Ortho and Neuro a plus as well.
• Certification by a nationally accredited surgical technologist credentialing organization.
