Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and caring Veterinary Medical Director. As the Medical Director, you will be a crucial leader in our practice, overseeing all clinical operations while ensuring excellent medical care. This role is ideal for a seasoned veterinarian with a passion for leadership and collaboration, who is ready to mentor a team of veterinary professionals and contribute to the long-term success of the clinic. You will split your time between clinical duties and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the veterinary team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
• Ensure the highest level of medical care is provided to all patients.
• Develop and implement medical protocols and standards.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Serve as a key advisor in hiring, training, and mentoring veterinary staff.
• Collaborate with the practice manager on operational and financial management.
• Oversee inventory management and ensure proper usage of resources.
• Stay current with advances in veterinary medicine and integrate them into practice.
• Engage with clients to provide excellent communication and care.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
• Licensed to practice veterinary medicine within State of Practice
• Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License within State of Practice. 
• Strong diagnostic and surgical skills.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to foster a positive work environment and culture.
